Things People Make From Railroad Spikes

The railroad spike knife is a twisted and hot-cut spike with a blade forged from a trains brake shoe retaining clip. The blade is tightly fitted one inch into the hilt and is kept in place with a 1/8" roll pin. The serial numbers A4 JL are still visible on the ricasso of the blade with my touchmark appearing between them. The second knife is a stag knife forged from another brake retaining clip.
