Things People Make From Railroad Spikes

submitted by:

Fuad Accawi,

The railroad spike knife is a twisted and hot-cut spike with a blade forged from a trains brake shoe retaining clip.  The blade is tightly fitted one inch into the hilt and is kept in place with a 1/8" roll pin.  The serial numbers A4  JL are still visible on the ricasso of the blade with my touchmark appearing between them.  The second knife is a stag knife forged from another brake retaining clip.  Please visit my new website and tell me what you think.  It lists all my contact info and gallery with some of my work.  Take care, and hope to hear from you.
